Better Together Residency Brier

Better Together supports makers of color by connecting them with professional opportunities to help plant roots and grow meaningful networks.
Their annual summer residency at Pilchuck Glass School brings together artists from diverse backgrounds for a week of focused creation and community-building.
This short film captures a powerful moment from the first day, as residents introduce themselves and begin to form connections. For many, it’s the first time they’ve created in a space surrounded solely by other makers of color—a moment of shared vulnerability, openness, and hope that reflects the almost utopic environment Better Together has fostered.
Brier was honored to help communicate the depth of that experience and the profound sense of safety, positivity, and possibility the residency offers.
